Alegría Flamenco y Gastronomía is a restaurant with a flamenco show every day in the Port of Malaga. This new and unique space in Málaga is the creation of Miguel Moreno Riojas, owner of Los Jardines de Zoraya in the Albayzin neighborhood of Granada which has been in operation since 2008 and has become a meeting place for flamenco fans, artists and people with an appreciation for innovative cuisine.
The performance in Alegría Flamenco y Gastronomía takes place in the theater, a totally independent space to maintain the warmth, intimacy and closeness that this type of performance requires. The flamenco show is performed with four to five artists, who for an hour provide an experience of great emotion expressed through the main protagonists of dance, song and guitar.
The restaurant offers full service with a wide gastronomic variety: typical dishes, meats, options for vegans, vegetarians and children. There are options to eat à la carte or you can also choose from a quality selection of fixed price menus. The venue features a large terrace with views of the port of Malaga, the Cathedral and the Pompidou Center. The artistic programming changes every week and the staff speaks several different languages.

It feels almost unfair that we can't give this six stars! Not only was the performance electric and well worth the money, but the refreshments we ordered were also way past expectations. The mocktails were in competition for the best we've ever had. The desserts were also great, but we ended up being so pulled into the performance that we mostly wolf them down at the end 😆
As someone born and raised in Málaga, I must admit I wasn’t expecting much when I first went to Alegría Flamenco. I assumed it might be just another touristy flamenco show — something light, designed for visitors, without real depth or passion.
But I was completely wrong, and I’m so glad I was!
From the very first moment, the show was intense, emotional, and full of soul. The dancers were incredibly talented, the musicians were top-level, and the overall atmosphere was both intimate and powerful. You could feel the energy and authenticity in every performance.
It wasn’t just entertainment — it was a true cultural experience, and a beautiful representation of flamenco at its best.
The show had moments of joy, sadness, intensity, and pure art. It captured everything that makes flamenco such a special and emotional tradition.
Honestly, this is not just a show for tourists — it’s something that any local can enjoy and be proud of. I went in with low expectations, and I came out blown away.
I would give it 100 points if I could, and I recommend it to anyone visiting Málaga — or even to those of us who live here and sometimes forget how powerful our own culture can be.

First of all I have to say that it was a unique experience. We booked the 22.30 Espectáculo. At 21.00 we arrived to the restaurant because we had dinner before. We had tapas degustacion option. 6 tapas and 1 dessert. Dessert was terrible. Tapas 4/6 were very good. 2/6 were not very good. They have vermut which was very good as well. Then we moved to the Flamenco section and for 1 hour it was a joy. One gentleman and one lady dancing, one gentleman on the guitar and two gentlemen are singing. We loved it. Totally recommended.
I had 2 flamenco shows in 2 days, in different clubs. And this one wasn't the best. The woman dancer wasn't in her best form, and with all the respect, it didn't look like passion, rather like difficult workout. Didn't even want to take any videos of that. The singers were young and trying hard, but the approach was "the louder - the better". Guitarist was quite good, but couldn't manage constant issues with the microphone. The only better part of the show was the male dancer, there was style, professionalism and passion.
The waitress brought me lots of drinks that i haven't ordered, and they waited for some time, until we solved it. On the left from the stage there's loud air conditioner, which is well heard during the guitar solo, but not when they all sing and dance.
Try more than one show to see the difference and understand what you like. Come about 30 min before start.

Having gone to Flamenco Show in Madrid a couple of years ago, I wasn’t expecting this to be as professional, but I was pleasantly surprised. The performance was excellent. All the artists were good, but the male dancer stole the show. His showmanship was off the charts. The venue was intimate, the staff friendly and helpful, and the wine very good and reasonably priced. They offered photographs that included a mantilla to drape over our shoulders which made for a great souvenir of the evening, again, reasonably priced. It in no way felt like a tourist rip-off. They even allowed photos during the performance! The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was the lack of vegetarian options for the meal, which wouldn’t affect most people, so we skipped that part. It was a very enjoyable evening I would highly recommend.
Absolutely stunning show! The artists are at the peak of their art. The voices, the dance, the guitar performance are all very, very good. The best part is that the artists also seem to really enjoy their own show which is quite telling, I would say.
I cannot say anything about the food or the drinks, we just had a Victoria draught. The service was quick, the waiters polite, all was well.
The “theatre” is very small and leaves an underwhelming first impression and The way the show started made me think it was going to be very sad, but then it picked up and was quite a good show.

Amazing! We've been to great flamenco shows before but this was the best so far - we started with a lesson with Caterina, which was very cool: gave us a new appreciation for flamenco! Then saw the show, which as I said was phenomenal! The performers were incredible, so much passion and so beautifully and skillfully performed! I'd recommend coming here 100%, we'll definitely be back!

The show is good! No red dress. It seems less beautiful than the advertisement. Don't eat dinner or lunch here! Specially for tapas tasting!

We have been to many shows but none of them as good as this one. At one point we had tears in our eyes because the dancing and the emotion with it were so intense. The charisma and the bond the dancers and the band have is amazing. You can feel it just being a spectator. The place is so cosy that it felt like we were a part of the show. Everyone was cheering for the band and the dancers. It was really a special experience. We recommend everyone to come here and see it for themselves.

Highly recommend this experience in Malaga. Tickets are well priced and it’s something that you’ll remember forever. The emotion of the art form itself is indisputable, but the performers on this night (10.30pm show on 14 Oct 2024) were absolutely mesmerising. However you are expecting to feel, times it by 10. The singing, guitar, and of course the dancing was beautiful, and this space is unique because it’s incredibly intimate. Though there were 40 people in the audience, it felt like an intimate bar where most people had a good view. The dinner beforehand was great and the service was excellent. It’s a hearty portion so don’t make any other plans!
Things to note -
- Book tickets beforehand, as the earliest bought tickets get the better seats
- Not too many vegan options for dinner, so let them know well in advance to see if they can accomodate
- Can’t bring drinks or order during the show, so make sure you fill up beforehand.
- Don’t take the photos they ask you for prior to the show unless you’re willing to pay €8 for each photo!
This part was an odd experience. Prior to the show, we were asked to take photos with their professional camera. The lady was extremely nice and gave us accessories. We weren’t allowed to take photos on our phone of this set up which is absolutely fine. However as we were leaving after the show, we were offered the pictures for €8 each. We chose not to get them, and the staff’s demeanour changed completely - we were scoffed at. A bit of a sour taste after a wonderful night.

The show was incredible, with approximately a 1 hour performance filled with skill, emotion and vibrance. This was my first flamenco show and I thought that I would have trouble appreciating it, but I would recommend this experience to anyone regardless of your interests and experience.
If you book the additional tapas dinner package then make sure you arrive 1.5 hours early, as the food is not served during the performance.
The food was all incredible and unique, could not fault it.
Otherwise with normal tickets alone 30 minutes before the show so you can relax and have some drinks.

The only odd experience which may have come down to miscommunication was with a photo they asked to take of us (couple) before the show started. They then asked us if we wanted to purchase the small print for 8 euros and seemed very upset when we didn’t. We attended a Flamenco show that was outstanding. Before it starts, they serve you a drink. The space is small, for about 30 people. Prices are reasonable for the location and ambiance. I highly recommend it. You need to make reservation.
This place is the real deal! While it certainly caters to tourists, the performances are absolutely authentic, passionate, and very professional. We've seen flamenco dancing, singing, and guitar playing in many venues and my wife has taken dance classes from a respected teacher so we feel that we can recognize a quality performance. Stop by Alegría if you're in town or stopping on a cruise.

I attended this solo, and had a great experience. The tapas itself were enough for a meal. The show was amazing and since I bought tickets ahead online I had the best possible seat. My only regret is that I didn’t capture even a minute of video for my husband back at home, because although cameras without flash were ok, I thought it would be rude to take a video and I wanted to enjoy this authentic show through my own eyes, not a camera lens. I did buy a CD from Maria DelMar Fernandez after the show and I am so glad, because I can listen to this beautiful music in my car back in Spokane Valley Washington USA and remember my time in Spain fondly. The dancing and the guitar was superb. I wish I had a way to listen to the songs and guitar again.

The flamenco show itself was excellent we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, however I don’t recommend eating here as the food is sub par at best. We had the 5 course taster menu which was probably our most expensive meal in Malaga and is not worth the money i think. All courses tasted really bland and considering that there are so many really good tapas bars in Malaga i would definitely eat somewhere else before coming to watch the show.

We purchased tickets on the day. If you booked online, you would sit further forward. Ordered some drinks and snacks. The show was good. But missing the traditional costumes. Had to stand up to see - as the stage was quite low, so couldn't see the footwork.

I bought a ticket including dinner before the show. When I arrived it seems it was a different hour, a change of half hour. I believe there was a mistake buying online. They accept the situation. Since I was there, they sat me and proceeded with the menu included.
Unfortunately the seat given to me, it wasn't in a very comfortable location. There were free seats and I asked if I could be changed but they say my seat was good and I couldn't even see the singers once it started. It was a paid ticket ahead of time. Anyway, I liked the show. I love the music and their passion. I went there because it was recommended to me. The food "Alegria menu" was good. I only wish to see better the show but thanks for the service, after all. Nice experience.

Splendid performance. A lot of passion from the dancers and musicians; I was absolutely riveted. The service at the front desk and from the waitstaff was friendly and prompt. General admission is €25; I think it’s worth it. For food, I only had the fries and they were fine. White wine was lovely.

Receiving full of positive energy from every each member’s passion for the show. It was beyond my expectation. Not only their skill but also cheering up each other during the show, that was so much touching me and my mom.

My family had a great time eating delicious food and enjoy an outstanding performance of flamenco dancers as well as singers and the guitar . The whole stuff were committed to great service and were very friendly. Food and drinks tasted great!
It was my sons birthday and performers congratulated him from a stage and he got a complimentary cake from stuff with a Happy birthday song. He was very happy 9 years old :))). Thank you so so much for this wonderful moment. The atmosphere was awesome , we have a great memories .

Awesome show! Highly recommend if you are in Malaga! Love, love, love the dancing and OMG! The guitar player! AMAZING! The singers were so passionate - and the dancers are very, very passionate! A must see!
If you're expecting kitschy tourist stuff, you're in for a great surprise. I've been playing guitar most of my life, but when Ruben Lara played tonight I felt like I was hearing it speak its native language for the first time. The other performers were of a similar caliber, and the food was excellent. Just go.
WOW! What a unique and thrilling experience. You can truly see how passionate the performers are about their work. I’ve never seen such a talented guitarist! Amazing location to see an authentic flamenco show. Loved every moment.
Great show. 1hr of music, songs and flamenco dance.
You can see the scenario perfectly from any place and also can order drink and food through your mobile and pay, they bring you all to your table.
Finally, you can also stay for dinner after or before the show.
We had a wonderful experience at Alegria. I would suggest doing the whole evening there from drinks before dinner, to dinner, and then the show. I had the tomato salad as a starter, then the stewed pork on potato puree, with a really delicious bread pudding and pineapple sorbet for dessert. We did dinner first at 6:30 and then the show at 8:00. The tables for the show are assigned on basis of when you make your reservations. We ended up with a front row table but I think all the seats looked like you would have an excellent view. This was a unique experience and one I highly recommend.
Excellent chef's menu meal before powerful performance of flamenco music, song and dance. Exquisite is the word that sums up the whole experience. A must to watch to capture the essence of a beautiful city.
I have to give this place five stars 🌟 , even if the performance wasn't quite my thing. The artists were thoroughly amazing and clearly enjoyed their work. I have already passed the name on to others, and if you want to experience this particular Spanish art / culture, this is certainly the place to go.
The place is not big, a back hall of a restaurant near the port. It is exactly 1 hour starting at 17:45. We choose ticket without food 25 €, an that’s why we were seated on a chairs at 2nd row without table.
The artists do their best, especially the dancing lady :)

Amazing food and breathtaking experience. Yes a bit pricey for budget Travellers with dinner but really worth it. The ambiance, service is top of the shelf. Located near the beach, so you can have a romantic walk after the dinner/performance. We went on our marriage anniversary and loved every bit, highly recommended.
If you visit Malaga, please ensure you visit Tablao Flamenco Alegria. The food was incredible, the pork cheeks are so good. Good wine selection too. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The prices are reasonable. But the most memorable part of the evening is the flamenco - an experience you will never forget. So much passion and the music and dancers are amazing. What an incredible evening.👌👌👌
