Tablao Flamenco La Guarida del Angel

Wonderful evening enjoying Flamenco in an intimate setting. Lovely staff, great atmosphere and fantastic music & dance; the artists perform with breathtaking passion and talent. Good value as ticket also includes first drink, (I didn’t have any food). I went solo and was very comfortable doing so. Felt authentic and not like a tourist trap!

I booked a flamenco show at La Guarida del Angel, via Get Your Guide, to celebrate my birthday. As soon as the show started I immediately got goosebumps and was moved to tears. I'd visited another very famous tabanco in Jerez, to see a flamenco show, but it wasn't a patch on this performance. Prior to visiting Spain, I'd read about 'duende'—in this performance at La Guarida, I finally experienced it. The woman with the blue dress with white polka dots was especially magnificent (so intensely passionate and commanding!), but the entire quartet (pictured) left it all on the stage. A performance filled with soul, fire, and passion I shall never, ever forget.

What an incredible show it was indeed. Everyone who perfomed that evening was extremely skilled at their craft; it's like they've been doing Flamenco since the moment they popped out of the womb. 😆 The venue is cute and well maintained - it's in a very local neighbourhood, surrounded by tapas restaurants and a plaza.

Jerez de la Frontera is a place that truly stays with you. ❤️ From the very first moment, you can feel something special in the air — a unique mix of history, culture, and soul. Walking through the streets feels like stepping into a different rhythm of life, where time slows down and every corner tells a story. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, full of life but never overwhelming. The people are kind and welcoming, and there is a deep sense of tradition everywhere — especially through flamenco, music, and the local culture. What makes Jerez unforgettable is not just what you see, but what you feel. It’s a place that touches you quietly, without trying too hard. You don’t just visit it… you experience it. I left with beautiful memories, a calm heart, and the feeling that I will definitely come back again. ❤️

I can wholeheartedly recommend the Tablao Flamenco La Guarida del Ángel in Jerez de la Frontera to anyone who wants to see genuine, authentic flamenco. I attended two shows with my girlfriend in January 2026. Each performance was unique; it's not a predictable tourist attraction, but rather an art form at its highest level, where dance meets song and guitar playing. They dance, sing, and play with such passion, pouring their hearts and souls into the performance. There's no holding back. An intimate connection is forged between the audience and the artists. I have never seen such elegant yet fiery dancers on stage. And the singers and guitarists are masters of their craft. My jaw dropped as I watched and listened. This is something no one should miss. For me, it's the best flamenco venue in Jerez. An added bonus is that delicious, typical Andalusian tapas and wines are served alongside the flamenco. All the senses are delighted at Tablao Flamenco La Guarida del Ángel. Unfortunately, I've never been to Jerez when the Festival de Jerez takes place at the end of winter. From what I've heard, it doesn't get any better for flamenco lovers. It's happening again now. If you have the chance, see the world's best flamenco artists at La Guarida del Ángel during the festival, or attend their fantastic shows throughout the year. I was truly impressed and convinced, which is why I'm posting this positive review, albeit belatedly.

Wonderful Flamenco show! Authentic Flamenco. The artists interpreted siguirya, solea, alegrias, bulerías, and a great flamenco sevillana. Food was great. All was perfect!!!!
