Cueva Flamenca La Comino

Best flamenco experience of my entire trip to Granada! I went to the 8 pm show on a Tuesday night and got a front-row seat, plus a free drink of my choice. The atmosphere was magical and incredibly immersive—both bailaores were absolutely mesmerizing, and I was completely captivated by the depth of the maestro’s voice and the accompanying guitar. Everyone was highly professional, well-organized, and exceptionally talented. Special thanks to the staff, who welcomed all the guests warmly and made us feel at home from the very beginning. I couldn’t recommend a better place to truly immerse yourself in and fully embrace this sacred tradition.

We visited the Granada Cueva Los Amayas on 05/28/2026 at the 6:00 PM show. We arrived early and asked to wait outside till showtime before entering, which was understandable given the space is a smaller cavern. Once inside we ordered our beverages before being seated inside the cavern, which has a very traditional flamenco dance floor with smaller, wooden seats and old iron style beverage holders. The audience sits fairly close together, but definite elbow room for comfort. The artists who preformed were all four creditable, delivering their highest energy and with traditional flamenco instrument, voice, and dance. My husband and I, along with other guests enjoyed the close, intimate view of the dancers with a rich taste of family flamenco dance tradition. A “tip” was Not asked for, but given tickets were exceptionally priced for that which was performed, we tipped nicely on our way out leaving with a sense of gratitude for the performance.

The flamenco show was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere inside the cave was so unique, and being so close to the dancers made the experience feel really personal and special. The combination of the singing and dancing was incredible, and the performers were so talented and passionate. We loved every minute of it and would 100% recommend it to anyone visiting Granada!

Hands down one of the absolute best experiences of my life. My jaw was on the floor from start to finish with full body chills. My husband and I both agreed we would have gone back again the next night if we could have. I'd recommend this to anyone traveling through Granada!

An incredible experience and, in my opinion, a must-see during a visit to the city. The video alone can't capture the atmosphere (though I've included it for illustrative purposes). The venue is interesting (under the basement level of a tenement building/cave). It adds a touch of coolness on a very warm evening. The band/team was incredibly committed and professional. It was a truly enjoyable time. The ticket price includes drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).

The show was great and the artists were very dedicated. The ambience was very intimate and we enjoyed every second of the performance. The wine was also superb. We would like to come back.

This was our second time visiting - enjoyed it so much the first time that we had to return on our next trip! The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The performers were simply amazing. Both times we were enraptured by the music, the dancers and the singing. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a friendly and family feel.

If you are visiting Granada, this is a must do.The dancing is intense & sooooo good, you can just feel the dancers love it, the guitarist & singer are spot on too. It is so atmospheric, it exceeded my expectations by far, I loved this way more than I thought I would. Go see it, you will not regret it.

Super cool experience, the dancers had a passion in their eyes and a clear love for the art they were preforming. The guitar player was amazing and pushed through a cut finger which when you see him play you'll understand why that's a big deal. 10/10 would recommend.

Great flamenco experience! We were impressed with the dancers and singers! The ticket price included a drink, we chose white wine, which was excellent! Our kids had juice and remained glued to their seats completely mesmerised by the show. Very recommended!

Cueva Flamenca La Comino is a very neat concept and a lovely tablao! Recommended by a friend, it provided a very intimate experience that truly highlighted the beauty of Flamenco. While the show was captivating, I would advise coming primarily for the performance rather than the food. The atmosphere and talent of the performers made it a memorable night, and I appreciate the unique setting they offer. Overall, it’s a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Flamenco in a cozy environment!

Spectacular footwork and sound in an intimate and close setting . Seen 3 shows on this trip to Malaga Seville and Granada and the intensity and bond between the bailarines de flamenco cantante and guitarrista at La Comino was the best!

The show was spectacular! Both the dancers were incredible, as well as the guitarist and singer - the song with just the singer and guitarist was absolutely beautiful.

A lovely venue! It's very atmospheric watching a flamenco show in a cave where the room almost vibrates with the dancing! A short, easy walk from the centre of Granada.

It was an unforgettable experience! We were a little late due to my father in law taking a bit to walk, but the Comino staff was so nice about it and they let us in as soon as the guitar opening solo was done. There is nothing that compares to the amazing experience of watching a flamenco show in a cave in Granada. The natural surround sound of the cave doesn’t even need speakers or microphones. It’s surreal, they were incredible and by all means I can’t process the physical strain of dancing like that for an hour. Hats off to them, we absolutely loved the show! Even my 6 year old daughter!

An excellent nights entertainment in a very intimate setting. The performers were very talented and passionate, because of the cave setting you almost felt you were in the show.The hour flew by I would definitely recommend a visit here.You have a drink included in the ticket price.

Great and wonderful show! The singer, dancers and guitarist are top-notch professionals. First drink is complementary. We got to meet the artist after the show. Within walking distance of Central area.

Atmosphere was fun. Very close to dancers. Singer was soulful & passionate, better than the singer in famous Casa de Memoria in Sevilla. The sangria was strong & a generous poor. The female dancer was energetic, elegant and beautiful. However, the male dancer wasn’t on the same level and made the overall performance seem uneven. It was clear he was giving a 100% effort though. Still recommend the experience, it was fun and memorable.

Gypsy souls, howling old rugged deep voices, strong and fast footstep beats. Bring your young adults to this cave to feel what was real than this reviews back then. I heared a little 'sugoi' sounds repeatedly from two young asian ladies infront of me middle of the show. Enough?

The artists (dancers, guitar player and singer) are really talented and give a great performance. However keep in mind that there is no introduction or any information given on flamenco (origin, symbolism etc) prior to the performance. It is just a one hour show with an intermission. That said, it is a very intense and intimate experience, enhanced by the cave setting and the wooden floor, which transmits the vibrations of the loud steps, from the floor ilto the core of your body. It is mesmerizing. The location is very convenient as it is in the flat part of Granada and not high in Albayzin, so if you are exhausted after a full day of sightseeing (as I was), it is easily accessible. My advice: because the show lasts only one hour, I think that it is better to only take the drink option, as having the tapas looked like a waste of money. The show was over and people stayed, still munching, while the rest of us were leaving. It made no sense to me, but that's just my opinion. Furthermore, one of the "tapas" was some type of crackers (I could not see clearly), in a small plastic bag. It was very annoying to hear the noise of the ruffling bag as people were digging there hands in during the performance.

It wasn't my first flamenco show at all, but experiencing flamenco in a cueva has become something very special for me, something I would never have expected. You can feel the movements and the power of this art in a very special way. Plus, the incredible energy of all the performers - ¡genial! I am very grateful to have been there, more or less by chance, and can only recommend it to everyone.

Amazing performance! It was so exciting and touching story. I cried several times so I couldn’t resist. Fita awakened all the great feelings in me. She expressed great emotions. What a wonderful woman. I can’t say anything less about Monica and her fascinating dance, nor about the male dancer… and what can I say about the guitarist except Wonderful! Thank you all.

Fabulous performance demonstrating passion, skill and pride in tradition. Venue was intimate and comfortable in a good location. Front of house were welcoming and professional. Eugenia at the front door was engaging with no pressure to buy but her genuine manner convinced me this was the place to experience flamenco. Great value as the performance lasted well over an hour.

We experienced flamenco in the cueva this week. It was excellent. The bailars Carmen and Joaquín were fantastic, so precise, yet free in their dance abd so expressive , the Tocaor played his guitar and Cantaor sang so much in tune with the dancers. It was great.

Fantastic performers, super atmosphere. The performing space feels really intimate. And it's wonderful seeing how much the artists love what they do. So worth going. Only tiny suggestion is maybe saying no filming, except for the final dance. Completely get why people want to capture the Flamenco - it's amazing! But it can be distracting.

It was not my first Flamenco show. However the acoustic in the cave was amazing. Great guitar player, singer and dancers. It is lovely to be so close to them during the performance. It could have lasted 2 more hours! Time is flying when you have a great time. A must go location when you visit Granada. Muchas gracias para todo 💃🏽🙏🏽

İt was great show. Maria and the guy, they are great. Place is very nice, dancers, all employees are kind, and professional. Only one thing 1 hour is too less maybe it can be 1.5 hour. Show is great amd we want to see more. Thank you for great evening

This was my first experience at a live flamenco show and it was fabulous! The passion in the performance was felt. The performance included a male and female dancer, guitar player, and a singer. The cozy cave provided an elevation to the show...the acoustics of the music and dance and the intimacy of the venue is definitely an experience I would recommend!

All of the performers were amazing, but Victoria Macias was incredible and elevated the experience to be one of the best shows I have ever been to in my life. I was spellbound. The waitress serving downstairs and the guy on the door were both really lovely and the setting was intimate and gorgeous. I will say though that if I went again (and seeing flamenco this good is enough alone to make me want to go back to Granada) I think I would probably get the ticket for just the show and a drink rather than the one I got with dinner included.

Wonderful show, with amazing dancers, guitarist and singer. Great sound in the cave and the dancers and musicians exude a love and passion for Flamenco. Tremendously enjoyable !!

This was my first flamenco show ever and I’m SO happy with the choice. Did a lot of research prior to booking the tickets and I swapped all Sacromonte options for this one as it appeared to be less popular, smaller and easily accessible. The show was incredible, full of force and life, and the best part - we were around 20-25 people, not more. Just how it should be. The artist were: Manuel Heredia Hijo (al cante), Irene Ávila & Juan de la Chica (al baile), Guil Gani (al toque) and they were professional, started on time, and put on a beautiful performance. Special shout out to Irene and Guil who were just fantastic! The craftsmanship is hard to believe. We sat in front of the artists, it couldn’t have been any better than that. Loved it all… but, the chatty drunk couple who simply had to toast at every sip of beer. So incredibly disrespectful towards the artists and the rest of the audience. Maybe the administration of the club can also consider coating the metal glass holders with some rubber or something, cut down the noise during the performance. So beautiful, totally recommend it.

This was a incredible and powerful performance within an intimate and beautiful setting. While in Spain, we have attended 3 different flamenco shows, the dancers, singer and guitarist were all so amazing. And the setting, drinks, value for the performance were all great. Thank you for creating a unique space.

Amazing experience, what a passion, skills and talent. Book seats in the front to have an ultra experience. One of the best performance I have seen. Nothing in comparison with dancers you see in restaurant or other big shows.

The show was explosive, thrilling and extraordinary. In the most intimate setting, you can hear the dancers breathe and feel their heat and sweat. It’s intense and I loved it. By far the best flamenco show I have ever seen.

Really devastated to post this review, but I'm still thinking about it a week later and have to speak my mind. I've visited this venue at least 8 times over the last few years, even years before when it was called "Chien Andalu." It was consistently my favorite venue in all of Spain to see Flamenco because the performers were consistently incredible, and it was so small and intimate, you could always see the hands of the guitarist and the feet of the dancers. You were so close to them everyone in the audience was truly hypnotized. The drinks were good, the food was good, the atmosphere was incredible – unmatched, and not yet ruined by tourism, despite being located so close to the plaza nueva... I've been 4 times since November, in fact, and always brought my visiting guests here, but the last time I was there (Semana Santa- April 2023) they've completely rearranged the seats and nearly doubled the amount of people they fit in the cave... The stage is no longer used, but the audience sits around the long hall with these strange metal drink-stands that constantly tip over whenever anyone moves. Our eyes are no longer glued solely to the dramatic music and performers, giving everyone a perfect view, but now we're distracted by the drunk spectators in the room around us with their mobile phones and spilling drinks. The night I went, the venue crammed even MORE chairs in the cave at the last minute to accommodate truly as many people as could physically fit, then the group arrived late and was so loud and so drunk (sitting RIGHT next to the performers) that the rest of the audience had to insist on kicking them out! So disrespectful, so distracting, so heartbreaking compared to the perfect, magical show I was expecting (like the shows I had seen 7 or 8 other times there.) Even more disappointing is that we paid extra for "front row seats" which used to mean something in the old set up before everyone had "front row seats" and I was stuck in the corner, behind another person, constantly kicking the stupid drink-stand and unable to see the hands of the guitarist, as he was not facing us. The new set up means that you often have to see the back of the dancers, unable to see their facial expressions that are so important to the emotion of the show. I expressed my concern for this "front row" up-charge not being fulfilled and was not offered any refund for the extra TEN euros paid. The performers, as always, were incredible. I went this night specifically to see two of my favorites: Paco and Manuel, and was instead just filled with complete disappointment that the magic of my favorite venue in all of Spain no longer exists in the perfect way it used to exist. The performers do not receive any more compensation for the nearly doubled amount of tickets sold. The talent is still in this venue, but this was a HUGE mistake on the part of the managers and I'm leaving this review in hopes that they somehow come to their senses and bring back the small intimate stage set-up, respecting the art of flamenco and the vibe they created previously rather than letting their hunger for money and more ticket sales ruin something so magical. Or at the very least pay the artists more!!!!!!!

Absolutely amazing and deserves its 4.9 stars. I felt like I was watching a thunder storm in dance form. And as a dancer, I can say the performers were top notch.
