Seville's Museum of Flamenco Dance is the first and only museum of its type in the world - a modern museum preserving ancient roots. It is in a beautiful 18th century building, built on the foundations of an old Roman temple. Is an excellent gateway to the magical world of flamenco. It offers a unique experience, where the diverse facets of this art - dance, song and guitar - come together. The interactive museum and performances contribute to an understanding of Flamenco. All of the museum's publications, exhibitions and merchandise incorporate the aesthetics of flamenco, creating a unique experience. The museum, promoted by the dancer Cristina Hoyos, has permanent and temporary exhibitions and also tours. The Museum of Flamenco Dance is an unforgettable experience.

We love flamenco. This was our third experience watching these presentations, but the first of the Sevillian style. Is it for tourists: yes, but this does not take any credit from the show or the artists. It was truly amazing and an experience we will not forget. A very intimate presentation, we were less than 1 meter from the dancers. I could not recommend this more to understand a little more of the rich Andalusian culture.

I went to see the dance show at 5:00PM. For 25 euros, you have a group of three musicians and three dancers (1 male, two females) performing for 1 hour. It’s a bit touristy but to be fair, where do you expect to find a non touristy show if the concept is basically made for tourists ? And It doesn’t take away the talent From the artist perfoming. And they were really talented ! PS: You can’t take pictures/videos of the show. A bit sad BUT I think it’s a great idea if you really want to enjoy the show and not be bothered by others’ phones.

I highly recommend both the performance and the museum. Anyone would fall in love with flamenco after experiencing this! The staff are incredibly professional and friendly. It’s absolutely worth making a reservation and visiting!

This is the world's first and only museum dedicated to flamenco, offering an in-depth experience of flamenco dance, music, and cultural heritage. It was spearheaded by Cristina Hoyos, a renowned flamenco dancer from Seville, and opened in 2006. The museum is housed in an 18th-century Andalusian building enhanced with modern design elements. In the evenings, professional flamenco performances by local artists are held, allowing visitors to experience the passion and vibrancy of flamenco up close.

We went for the performance only, so I can not comment on the museum. The performance was excellent. The singers, guitarists, and dancers were all excellent. They all brought passion, love, and humour. Maybe the singers microphone could be reduced by 10%, but it's a minor gripe. Top performers, on top of their game giving lots of love. Note: Seating, it's first come, first served, get there early to choose a good seat. There is a bar to get a refreshment before the show.

During the show, no photos or videos were allowed so I couldn't take any photos. This is my second flamenco show: one was in Barcelona in March and this time in Seville in November. One of the three dancers was the lady I saw in Barcelona. The three dancers (two ladoes and a man) were great and the show was fantastic. I was especially impressed and amazed by the guitarist who was a genius and wonderful. I highly recommend this flamenco museum show.

Watched an evening show and was pleased to see that there a small amount of seating/tickets offered to make for a small and more intimate show. The dancers were exceptional, and the show was well coordinated with all the performers well synced with each other. We had seen a ‘free’ flamenco show on the street, which you may be tempted by, but it simply doesn’t compare to this show! As a savvy traveler, I would still recommend looking into this show. No photography or videos were allowed, but it was refreshing to ensure we just enjoyed the show. The dancers were clearly very well versed at their art, and we were incredibly impressed with the energy in the room and the performance. We were lucky enough to get front row seats by arriving early. If you go in the summer, some people may prefer the second row as it gets very hot and the dancers are working hard so the front row can be a bit more of a splash zone if you are sensitive to that.

Incredible energy and connection between all the performers. These emotions cannot be expressed in words. I am even glad that we were forbidden to take photos and videos, because hiding behind a phone you miss a lot of details and all that atmosphere. We were absolutely delighted with what we saw and will definitely recommend this place to all our friends. Buy tickets beforehand. Come to the show 15-20 minutes earlier to take a nice place. P.s. A guitarist is love forever and a reason to learn to play the guitar

We visited to see an evening show and it was great. Enough people for a good atmosphere but not too over crowded. The dancers and musicians were great and it was authentic. The bar was reasonably priced so we could get sangria for the show. It is a shame we couldn’t take any photos at the start or end, but I understand that it’s best to not have phones out during the performance.

Please note this was only a museum visit not for a show. Paid €6 at the entrance for an adult ticket. There is no need for a skip the line pass if you are only visiting the museum. Museo was very basic & I was expecting much more. Area 1 is a short video, area 2 was a longer much more informative video about the 7 main dance styles. Area 3 sound quality was poor and hard to hear the information. Area 4 being dedicated to the costumes : this area was a severe let down. Area 5 another video of the dance which was nice to watch for a bit. The 2nd floor has a small gallery which was nice to view but very uninformative. Century vault has some great pre Roman stone wall (not super connected to a dance museum but nice to see) Nice way to spend 30 to 45mins.

Authentic venue with highly talented dancers and musicians! The one-hour flamenco performance is definitely worth seeing. The Andalusian-style hall creates a great atmosphere. Arrive half an hour early for a front seat in the small hall. Highly recommend it!

Must visit in Seville to see Flamenco and enjoy the vibe of the performance. The museum is small, so don’t count on spending a lot of time there. Before the show, you can also grab a drink in a bar. As an idea, I think it would be great to allow taking pictures during the last song of the performance to post on social media and bring them as memories as it is now not allowed to take pictures or record videos during the show.

In a vaulted cavern beneath the Museum the audience was treated to an "up close and personal" display of flamenco in all its passion, pain, fire, joy, and fun. Two singers, a gifted guitarist and three dancers - each of whom was experienced and skillful - showed their international audience various styles of flamenco in just over an hour. Great costumes, great music - a wonderful experience. I can recommend!

Amazing flamenco show!!! Been to another one in a different city and there’s no comparison to this one.. You’re not allowed to take pics or film but I can assure you they are worth it.. great price and fantastic dancers.. it felt truly authentic! Online booking was easy and they have a bar on the side to purchase drinks to enjoy while you watch the show.. haven’t been to the museum so can’t say anything about that..

We visited the place for their Flamenco show which lasted one hour. It's an extraordinary and mind blowing performance. Pictures and videos are forbidden which I believe is a great respect to the performers. The museum itself has a small outdoor terrace area as well as a retail shop. I highly recommend booking their Flamenco dance show in advance because it's booked out very quickly.

Best flamenco place in town. We visited 5 different shows in Sevilla and this was definitely the best. Also having the history insight to this type of art inside museum is the benefit on top. I recommend to buy combo ticket (show+museum), you don't even have to visit museum at the same day as the show. What I like as the one who knows about flamenco just a bit thanks to girlfriend is.that they have also interactive part in museum = touch screens which explain you basic about this dance, different styles, clothings, tools etc. Really good job done.

The Flamenco Dance Museum offers an immersive and captivating experience that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of flamenco. The dancers Rosa, Susana and José are true masters of their craft, exude emotion and skill with every step, transporting the audience to a world of raw expression and intense storytelling. Each performance is a piece of art and we immediately wanted to experience this flamenco show again. Definitely need to see in Sevilla!

I have bought a combined ticket for the museum and for the show in advance and I have visited the museum on a different day as I'm was in the area. In the museum, you get to know the history of the flamingo dance, and there are exhibits with audio through the museum. In the basement of the museum, you get to see a Roman Wall. The show it was great to see, which I have enjoyed very much. If you want a good spot, you need to be early, even before the recommended time they give you. The show it was performed by 3 dancers and 3 mucians with excellent moves and great voices. Highly recommended.

I didn't visit the museum but I attended a flamenco show on Christmas Eve: there were two singers, one guitar player and three dancers, it lasted about an hour and it cost 35€. It was really great to see such talented artists all together on a stage showcasing typical Andalusian music and dance.

We love it. The only reason we don’t give it 5 stars is because some of the interactive options were not working and the exhibit was super small.

Flamenco is the quintessential spanish art, dance and a big part of Andalusian cultures. What a Rhythm! They know how they make us feel excited. If you are traveling to Andalusian region, you shouldn’t miss out on this!

I went to the Flamenco Dance Museum this evening 💃 followed by their 19:00 Flamenco performance 💃 and it was one of my favorite things I did in Seville. Met a fellow solo traveler from the Netherlands as well 🇳🇱 which was cool 🤙 I highly, highly, highly recommend coming here if you're in Seville, both to the museum and going to one of their performances 💃 This place is genuinely special 👌

You can buy a combined ticket for the museum and for the show. The show was truly great - live music and live singing together with amazing flamenco dancers! The museum is about the history and different styles of flamenco dance. If you are not too much into history, I really recommend the show - it was amazing, normally the shows are sold out quickly so better book couple of days in advance

We bought joint tickets for museum and the show. If doing again I would only do the show, as found it spectacular whereas the museum was less my learning style. The museum is five rooms, four of which are TV and one has costumes. There are no signs, and though great for those liking to learn by video we didn’t come away any more knowledgeable about flamenco than when we went in, though in fairness we only spent about 10 minutes as I am more reading than video oriented. Also note if you go when another show is underway it can be pretty loud in some parts of the museum. The show was phenomenal. It included three dancers, a guitarist, and two singers - and all were spectacular performers for the 55 minute show. We felt the older audience perhaps didn't appreciate it as much, but the footwork, musicality, and performances were great. If you care about which seats you get for the flamenco show (as first come first serve) I would recommend getting to the show 30-45 minutes early as our 19;00 Sunday show had the doors open 45 minute before (when we arrived as already at the museum), 30 minutes before starting about 20 seats were marked as reserved and 20-30 others now seated (not quite half full). Almost all seats were taken by 15-20 minutes before starting, and a full house by 10 minutes before. We found the best seats to be in the front row corner(or perhaps on the sides) as you can see everything and the footwork without needing to move your neck back and forth (as would if in the centre). They had a bar if wanting to arrive early and have a drink. It was o wine and decent sangria at a reasonable price. Toilets are clean. There is also a gift shop with a few interesting souvenirs available.

Watched the show on Monday 25 September. It was very professional, captivating, and very enjoyable. We went to see another show two days later in another place (memory house) and it wasn't even close to the magnificent performance of the Dance Museum. The trick is that the shows and performers may differ from day to day, but I believe that the Flamenco Dance Museum should maintain overall high standards, and I therefore definitely recommend seeing the show here.

I booked this show because I saw it online as one of the top things to do in Seville. My expectations were not high enough for the amazing show we witnessed. I cannot recommend this show enough. It was lovely to get to learn about the Spanish culture through Maria, Rocio, Ramon, the singers and the guitarist.

A highlight on my holiday to Seville. Managed to watch a show in the small space and it was electrifying. Pure power from all the performers. The dancers oozed talent and had us hooked. The singers kept the show going with their melodic voices and complimenting the dancers was an acoustic guitar. The small space adds to its charm.

Beautiful museum (loved the old outfits and the explanation video about the types of flamenco) and then watched the flamenco show at night and it was so well done. The heart of the dancers, singers and musician were so evident and it was incredibly enjoyable to see. More authentic than the tourist trap places that you see being advertised everywhere. 10/10 recommend! And the staff are lovely!

Visited in July of 2023 and were so pleased with the museum and the show! The museum really helped get our large group ready to appreciate the quality of the show we watched afterward. I enjoyed the presentation of various styles as well as the interactive devices with information about technique. Then all six performers were absolutely amazing! We enjoy every minute of the performance!! Sangria and Cava at the bar before the show were also delicious ;) We also made a mistake and booked the wrong day and they quickly and easily resolved this, moving our reservation to the following day, as we initially intended. My only complaint would be the set up. The space is small, which is nice, but the chairs are crowded and on the same level. I would suggest elevating some seats so more people can get a better view. I was a bit disappointed to not be able to see the performers legs/feet.

We visited to see the Flamenco dances (June 2023) and were not disappointed. They offered 2 evening performances (7 p.m. and 9 p.m.) Small theater holding perhaps 150 seats clustered around the stage. The farthest away seat was only about 20' from the stage so all seats are good. However, footwork is very important in Flamenco so if you really want to watch the feet, plan on coming early and sit in first 2 rows. We were in row 4 and hard to get clear view of feet at all times but we still saw at least 60% of the footwork. After the show we visited the gift show area. They do not want photos taken during show so we respected that with our photos but others have bootlegged photos and they are posted.

Awesome experience and performance 10/10 recommend. I took my mother here on vacation and we both absolutely loved the show. We booked tickets online and ended up visiting the museum to change to a different day and time - Though they weren’t able to find our reservation in their system, this gorgeous man with the most beautiful eyes helped us out - it was a lovely experience overall.

If You want to experience a real flamenco, this is the best place in Sevilla! I've been told this by one local person and I do agree with it. Very professional!

GREAT PLACE LOVED IT !! Highly recommend to people who are interested into culture and dance! The museum was very nice with also interactive places and films where you can see the different types of styles of flamenco! I also went to the dance show and the dancers were just incredible! You could sense the passion and energy of the dancers who clearly love what they do. The music was also phenomenal and the dance routines were very entertaining and lovely to watch. Gladly would go again to see the dancers dance !

If you are into Flamenco, don't miss this place! It is great for beginners and pros to fall in love with that art. (If you are NOT into it, it is wasted time! - but try!) The museum alone is not enough. You have to see the show. It is only one hour, so also for people who are not into dance, it is tolerable. The dancers are ambitious, the musicans are great and the athmosphäre is mystic and fantastic. It is worth the money. Booking in advance is very recommended! It seems, every show is well visited!

Pre-booked the tickets online for the show. The cost is 25€/ person. The show itself is amazing with so many people on stage. It did feel a bit cramped though, the front row seats are a bit to close to the stage to fit in more people. I would rather pay 5€ more and be with less people in the space. Also since it’s a late evening show it would be good to sell drinks, especially as there is no seat assignment and everyone arrives at least 30 min early to get a good seat.

I could give this 10 stars if allowed. We watched the flamenco show and not really did the museum. The things that I liked; no phones allowed for pictures or recording and the small intimate location. What I loved, the enthusiasm and passion of the singers and the dancers. The whole show was simply out of the world. You can see that the ones in it actually love what they do and they do the best every single time. One advice I would give is to get there at least 30 min in advance to get the good seats in the front. This is a absolute "must do" to attend and enjoy. Please go if you get a chance.

AMAZING! If you are in Seville, BOOK THIS SHOW. I was blown away by how beautiful, artistic and physical the dancers are. The music was spectacular, especially the guitar player but the entire group had a passion that was evident with each moment they performed. I am still overwhelmed by the beautiful performance we had the privilege of seeing. We were there on Monday 10/3, 5pm. We understand the dancers and musicians change daily but I can imagine they are all of equal caliber. We had friends with us who had seen a show in Madrid this week and they were speechless by the giant leap in quality, sophistication and artistry of this show. Well done all and thank you. The only disappointment was no video or photos allowed. Memories will stay with you though, trust me.

We took in a Flamenco show in the late afternoon on a Sunday. The show itself was very good - there was a lot of passion in the performance (so much so I worried for the older dancer's heart at one point). The rather jolly singing gent was great, if rather hoarse by the end! The highlights included wonderful dances with castanets and sporadic exclamations of 'Ole!'. We sat for an hour, which is all my spine could take on the odd plastic chairs. I also sat between many Germans, which enhanced my experience somewhat.

The museum is good to as an introduction to the Flamenco, to learn the origin, to understand the different styles, but all these information are simply written, so it’s lot of texts. Some screens doesn’t work properly (freeze). The 2nd floor is pretty small. The best part is the Flamenco show , a one hour experience to see experienced artists. If you want to seat in front row come at least 35/45mins before the show start.

Absolutely amazing show. Loved every minute. All the artists, from the dancers, to the singers, to the guitarist were so talented and performed with so much soul and passion. Loved the energy between them, and how they motivated and cheered each other on. Intimate setting, there must've been 80-100 seats max, and 6 artists. No photos or filming allowed. 120% recommend! I suggest going a bit early to grab a good seat. We were 25 min early and the seats were already half full - luckily the front rows were still available (I think the people who arrived even earlier chose seats in the second and third rows for fear it'd be too close to the stage in the front row, like in the cinema. Honestly though, front row was perfect).

This place is amazing: the great dancer Cristina Hoyos founded the museum and set the exceptional flamenco shows , or tablao. The audience is small,comfortably seated around the stage in a lovely patio: we had the privilege of seeing 3 dancers and 3 musicians perform specific dances there. No commercial cheap tricks,the real professional genius of flamenco performers. Book ahead, arrive early!

I feel robbed. This was honestly one of the worst museums I have been to and cost so much money. You can learn more about flamenco going to one of the local bars and watching an amazing performance (or simply by going to Wikipedia). The highlights were broken screens and seeing the flamenco museum office, which were located in the main exhibition space… Do not waste your time!
