About the Show

Premium Experience in Teatro Flamenco Málaga Club
Teatro Flamenco Malaga reflects the character and vibrancy of the pearl of the Andalusian coast where it is located. Malaga has a long tradition of flamenco with a very special way of living and expressing it through its exciting dance, melodic guitar, and unique singing.

The show “Esencia” is offered in Teatro Flamenco Malaga, an authentic work that transmits the soul of flamenco and invites you to live its evolution from its deepest roots to its contemporary reality.

Every night the top level artists share their vision of flamenco, so that the public can live, feel, and breathe it, losing themselves in an art as deep as the waves of the sea, whispering on the coast of Malaga to the beat of various flamenco styles.

Reviews

The theatre is tucked away like a secret: small, deep red, and just theatrical enough to make you wonder whether you've stepped into another decade. The staff were friendly, the sort of people who keep things moving without making a performance of it themselves. Booking was super easy with a few options, and a few shows a day. Before the show, there was a brief explanation of flamenco, useful for those of us whose expertise extends no further than recognising that stamping is involved, guitars are used and clapping is mandatory from the performers. Drinks are available, although the selection is thinner than the menu suggests, and ordering needs to be done before the lights go down, just out of respect for the show. No to meals, but they offer tapas at a nearby restaurant if you are feeling hungry, just a few minutes away. Then the dancers arrived and any minor logistical concerns became irrelevant. The quality was exceptional. The swirls, the singing, theanic stamping and graceful movements. Precision, power, grace—all delivered in a space intimate enough that every movement landed with force. For an hour, the audience sat collectively spellbound, in side booths or tall tables or center stage, watching artists who made something extraordinarily difficult look effortless. It's a cosy, old-fashioned venue with none of the anonymous slickness that infects so many tourist attractions. The theatre feels authentic, the performance even more so. We left impressed, slightly dazed, and with a renewed respect for what flamenco can do when it's performed this well.
Really lovely experience. Instructions were clear so we got a fairly front seat. The show was great. I think most important, the cast seemed to really care about their art and to enjoy creating it.
Fantastic show and a lovely wee theatre. The quality of dancing was so good and we were spellbound for the duration of the show. As we had a small child with us the lovely gentleman in the theatre offered us a booth at the side of the stage so we had a brilliant view and our granddaughter really enjoyed it.
A beautiful show done by outstanding performers. Our first flamenco show and it blew us away. The venue is intimate which allows you to view the experience up close. We really enjoyed every minute.
Overall, it was quite an interesting experience. The theater itself looks nice and cozy. It’s worth arriving about 20 minutes before the start of the performance to get a good seat. The drink selection is limited and they don’t have everything from the menu; you can only order before the show starts. The staff were kind. The performance wasn’t bad, but I found it a bit boring. All the artists were very talented, but the show itself didn’t impress me that much. In any case, it wasn’t disappointing, and I might come back again for a different performance.
I got to see a show on a Monday and it was packed - booked online earlier in the day. I got the "premium" option which gets you a complimentary beverage and seating up close to the stage. If you go that route they will give you a red little plastic rectangular token which you give to the bar tender for your drink, then you wait for the manager to tell you where to sit. Seating is a little cramped but honestly it was worth it. I got goosebumps, it was really a beautiful show with great energy and musicianship, not to mention the wonderful dancers. If I get a chance I will go again before I go home.
