I’m a stranger to Sevilla, and practically all of Europe for that matter. My Spanish is limited to about 10 words in the Mexican accent. But it felt imperative to search up flamenco performances while I was in town—it’s a dumb and grim fact that I probably can’t afford to travel to Spain again before I die. There’s no struggle concocting vacation activities. No. There is much to do. And flamenco is one of them. I walked 30 minutes in 100 degree heat to get to the venue. My girlfriend almost fainted. I drank two gallons of water and only peed once because I was sweating so much. We ate dinner at a nearby bar (amazing), and walked the corridors of the neighborhood, stopping in shops for both cooldown and the occasional purchase. We got to the venue a little early. It’s clearly labeled, and a staff member stands outside to welcome you. Have no fear, gringos, any timidity you have about being the foreigner will be washed away with how kind, open, and generous the Azahar staff is. As for the performance, what can I say? I hardly know flamenco from flamingoes. But even a child moves to music. This performance moved me. There’s no equivalent in my country—there’s no venue as intimate showcasing 10/10 level artists. Go. Imperative. Go see this show.

Fabulous flamenco in an intimate setting. The artists were entertaining & professional & the small venue made it feel like they were entertaining you in their home. Great value! Highly recommend this performance.

I was told by an expert of flamenco that an authentic flamenco show should be intimate, improvised, small. And this place came recommended by an experienced dancer. To say it was incredible or moving would not do it justice. The performance was intense, intricate, i almost cried I felt so moved. Each performer and the host were above expectations. Whole heartedly recommend, and for any solo traveller out there - this is perfect.

Absolutely wonderful! The tradition of Flamenco is obviously alive and thriving here, not just something that is trotted out for tourists. The guitarist, singer, and dancer were all top-notch, and watching them work together to create a unique, spontaneous show was a revelation. The setting could not be more intimate, with only 20 seats and no amplification. A fantastic introduction to the art form for us!

I don’t know how to shout loudly enough about just how beautiful this experience was!! It’s in a very small room, with only a small audience, and feels very intimate. The dancing, the guitarist, and the singer, were each masters of their own craft, and together were a beautiful trio. It was incredibly moving and emotional, and the can’t recommend this highly enough. A night we will always remember.

Everything about the experience is outstanding! It is so intimate and intense you feel immersed in the sounds and movement! Every member of my group left saying it was one of the best shows they’ve ever seen. Worth every penny I actually think it’s a total steal!! Beautiful beautiful beautiful

This was an amazing experience which I can’t recommend enough during your visit to Sevilla! The music, singing and dancing was phenomenal! We were blown away by the skill and passion of all the artists, thank you so much for a fantastic night!

The show i’d seen was INCREDIBLE! The dancer, the guitarist and the vocalist were all passionate and entrancing. Very small space so no problem seeing the footwork (though Id still recommend to sit in the front facing seats). Left me desiring more.. The glass of wine that comes with the ticket is a lovely bonus. My only suggestion is if the performance starts a tad late please make up for it by finishing later, I would’ve really loved to enjoy every second of the hour.

So so so good! I went with my daughter, didn’t expect much. Visiting Seville, never seen a flamenco show. This was a tiny room, up close and personal with the 3 performers. It was unreal, awesome, can’t say enough. Blew me away. Just an incredible performance.

What fun! This was my first Flamenco experience and I loved the small intimate atmosphere. All 3 performers were incredibly talented. Bonus that the very reasonable ticket price included a drink!

It was a great experience. Art is beyond language boundaries. Our emotion flew with the artists’ performance. The guitar, the voice and the dancing took you to a far away place and one can be immersed in the sadness, joy and all the indescribable feelings brought by that one hour time. Officially a flamingo fan.

Amazing show! The woman dancing gave her soul to the stage!!! It was intense, sensual, primal. Technically perfect and completely under control. The musicians were amazing, one with the instrument and audience. I wanted to take some photos but I was too involved in the show and time flew by. Absolutely worth our time and money.

Oh. My. Goodness. This performance was Spectacular!!! After researching flamenco in Sevilla I decided to book Flamenco Azahar because of the intimate setting and the great reviews. Even with high expectations for this show I was BLOWN AWAY! We were so close we could feel the wind from her skirts as she danced and the emotions were palpable. The trio danced, sang and played their hearts out and all three were incredibly talented!!!! The passion and emotion were enough to bring me to tears, and I don't understand Spanish! It didn't feel like a performance at all, it felt like storytelling and a conversation between the three performers. Incredible!! This Flamenco show deserves more than 5 stars... you will be so glad you went!!!!

Beyond any expectations, you can feel the wind when she spins and see the sweat dripping down her face. The singing and guitar take it to another level. Never seen any performance like this in my life.

My family and I attended a flamenco performance at Tablao Flamenco Azahar and it was absolutely spectacular. Not only was it incredibly intimate, with the performers interacting directly with us, the calibre of performance was outstanding. The artists were very kind and generous with their time, talking to us after the performance and letting us take photos with them. The show itself was comprised of a guitarist, a singer and a dancer, who played off each other to produce an emotional, professional and highly skilled performance, which took us through different styles of Flamenco. Each audience member received a drink with their admission, but I almost forgot I had a delicious glass of wine because I was so transfixed by their performance. Seeing a live Flamenco performance in Spain has been on my bucket list for years and I feel very lucky that my goal was met by watching the fabulous performers at Tablao Flamenco Azahar. A must see if you visit Seville!

A truly unbelievable experience…the absolute highlight of our stay in Sevilla. We’ve been to flamenco performances before, but nothing like this! It is such a small, intimate venue that you feel you are on the stage…you virtually are! The guitarist was absolutely wonderful, the singer superb, and the young female dancer just stunning. Please go, don’t chose one of the bigger venues…this is THE place to make memories for life!

Genuinely one of the best experiences I've had. What an incredible performance, in such an intimate venue. There was less than 20 of us in the audience! With a free welcome glass of wine, you genuinely couldn't ask for more.

Small and cozy, authentic, but right in the action. A family run venue with some incredible talent. Took my parents here for their first Flamenco show and it was exactly what was needed! Passion, amazing vocals, and pictures with the stars after! Take the plunge, there's a free drink included and only 30 people max compared to some of the larger venues!

I highly recommend going to this performance of flamenco while in Seville. It was a small venue in Santa Cruz that allowed for an intimate connection with the artists. The artists were available to chat with after the performance and this enriched the experience for us.

Fantastic programme and the artists are absolutely amazing, embodying all of the different elements of this art. What was great is that they also explained about the flamenco folklore specific to the various regions of Andalucía, sprinkled throughout the show, which helped us as the audience have a deeper understanding of and appreciation for it! And above all, the entire team was extremely kind and helpful! I truly recommend going to see their shows, it is a beautiful and revitalising experience. Thank you and I am thrilled to follow the work of these artists and go back when I am in Seville!

This has to be one of the best I've seen in Sevilla! The dancer had the most amazing moves and truly embodied the art of flamenco. The space was tiny, intimate and perfect for this peformance.

Flamenco show in an art gallery, for bullfighting and bullfighting lovers 🌄 I love that it is an intimate space in which to see a traditional flamenco tablao surrounded by art. Cante jondo, flamenco guitar and pure dance live in the same exhibition, for a very small capacity... You can't miss it if you're in Seville for a few days, magical performance!!! 🖼️🎨💃
