Additionally, the chairs are not particularly comfortable, something that becomes noticeable as you settle in to enjoy the performance. Despite these minor drawbacks, the artistic quality is exceptional and more than compensates for them. If you want to witness world-class flamenco performed by incredibly talented musicians and dancers, Tablao Flamenco 1911 is well worth a visit. Recommended.

What an unforgettable experience! This was our very first flamenco show, and it couldn’t have been a better introduction to this incredible art form. The venue is absolutely beautiful and creates the perfect atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The live musicians were exceptional, and the two dancers, along with the male flamenco performer, delivered a breathtaking performance. Their passion, talent, and emotion made the entire show truly unforgettable. One of the highlights of our trip to Madrid. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable flamenco experience!

Outstanding performances! Well worth the price. The video intros were a great addition. The venue is appealing and in a busy place. The food was fantastic although the seafood (señorito) paella was much better than the meat paella. Absolutely worth the experience and the free drinks (sangria, water or orange juice ) at the outset sets the mood for a great night.

The world's oldest tablao and absolutely worth it! After doing much research, this was hands down the best place to go for authentic flamenco in Madrid. It was totally worth the price. We got full front row seats, recorded most of the event, and it was so much fun and enjoyable! A little history... because this place has an incredible story: This isn't just any flamenco venue. Tablao Flamenco 1911 is officially the oldest flamenco tablao in the world, originally opened in 1911 under the name Villa Rosa. It is known as "La Catedral del Flamenco" (The Cathedral of Flamenco). The building itself has a fascinating origin. It started as an Andalusian fried fish shop and tavern run by three bullfighting assistants... a banderillero named Alvaradito and two picadors named Farfán and Céntimo... who took over the space of an old chocolate mill. In the 1920s, the legendary flamenco singer Antonio Chacón transformed it into the most popular flamenco venue of its time. The list of artists who have performed on this stage reads like a who's who of flamenco history: Antonio "El Chaqueta," Imperio Argentina, Miguel de Molina, Juanito Valderrama, Lola Flores, Manolo Caracol, Antonio Mairena, Pepe Marchena, Paco de Lucía, Carmen Amaya... the list is endless. Famous visitors: The venue has attracted an astonishing array of celebrities and royalty over the decades. Legend has it that King Alfonso XIII was a regular visitor, accessing the venue through a secret underground passageway that connected the Tablao to the nearby Royal Palace. Yes... a literal secret tunnel for a king! Other notable guests include Ernest Hemingway (who was fascinated by Spanish popular culture), Ava Gardner, Audrey Hepburn, and David Bowie. The venue has also served as a filming location for movies by Pedro Almodóvar (Tacones Lejanos), Fernando Trueba (La Reina de España), and Ocho apellidos catalanes. The building itself: Even if the show weren't incredible, the venue alone is worth seeing. The facade is protected as cultural heritage by the city of Madrid, featuring stunning ceramic tiles created between 1915 and 1920 by the master Sevillian artist Alfonso Romero Mesa (who also designed the tiles for Las Ventas bullring). Inside, the space is structured with columns and pointed arches inspired by the Alhambra in Granada, with intricately carved wooden ceilings in the Mudéjar style. My experience: When you walk in, you get a drink included with your ticket ( I purchased my tickets online as soon as they were available prior to attending and you get to choose seating). They then proceed to seat you in your assigned area. The dancers are top tier... all of them were great, and the performance was unforgettable. Everybody there is friendly! Practical tips: •Price: Tickets start around €42-€69 depending on seating zone . The VIP/front row seats are worth the extra money for the best view . •Show duration: Approximately one hour •Welcome drink included with every ticket •Location: Plaza de Santa Ana, 15 — in the heart of Madrid's Las Letras neighborhood •Metro stations: SOL or SEVILLA •Multiple shows daily — check their schedule for times Final thoughts: This is the real deal. If you want authentic flamenco in a venue dripping with history, this is it. The passion, the energy, the talent... everything was perfect. I highly recommend booking in advance and splurging for good seats. ¡Olé!

Absolutely worth it. Pros: Stunning dancers. The male dancer was so beautiful to watch his passion. The women twirling their traditional wear. Short length of an hour. Just enough but not too long. Didn’t distract with serving food. At least not at the earlier dinner show. Con’s: people definitely are smushed together. But they keep it cool.

The theater offers a 1 hour flamenco show. It's a small theater, and depending on the ticket price, you get a welcome drink. The show itself is marvelous

I will be the first to admit that when my husband said he bought tickets, I wasn't thrilled. But when the music started and the women came out and poured the hearts and souls into the performance, my soul was awakened. These women are not just dancers, but percussionists. Their dancing adds the drum beat to the music. The band plays a beautiful mix of Spanish and Moroccan music. Multiple vocalists with vibrato transform the songs. If you don't leave amazed, you weren't paying attention.

This is a must go place in Madrid! Don't miss it! One of the best performances I have ever seen! The salon is very nice!

WOW! If you are visiting Madrid , this is a must do.The dancing is intense & sooooo good, you can just feel the dancers love it, the guitarists & singers are spot on too. It is so atmospheric, it exceeded my expectations by far, I loved this way more than I thought I would. Go see it, you will not regret it. I really recommend you to visit this show because it gives a really amazing feeling. It is only one hour but all this time you will feel like you are performing because these dancers give you so much energy when they dance that deep inside like you dance with them. Chairs are not very comfortable and if you are not average size you can probably not fit. Tables also very small But honestly during the show I forgot about everything.

Amazing Flamenco show in Madrid and one of the best I’ve seen in Spain. All the seats had great views and you got 2 free drinks with your entrance tickets. Very pretty venue as well.

It’s nice but i’ve seen better shows wished it has more interactions between singer and dancers, it last for almost one hr with one drink including in the price, staff are nice and friendly they even offered us better spot as we had our baby sleeping in the stroller which was amazing gesture from them

Outstanding Flamenco show, what an amazing place and service is 5* felt so welcoming and definitely outstanding service. from when you check in to the tapas as well as the flamenco dancers and waiters it was such an amazing experience, as our first time in Madrid this was 100% recommended and such a excellent choice.

The show was fantastic, the dancers skilled with emotion bursting through every pore (ladies more than the lone male). We enjoyed front row seats. We never received the drinks that came with the ticket price though. I would pay to see the dancers and excellent musicians again… but not the under the current management.

Great flamenco show! ✨ A bit expensive, but worth it. We paid for food in our ticket, and they forgot to serve us the food. But when we asked for it, they brought the food really quick, apologized and gave us chocolate as a gesture😊

We booked tickets an hour in advance by stopping by the theater. We got front row seats on the side of the stage as little options were left. It was actually chill this way because they weren't staring directly at us. Got to flag the server down for a bottle of wine. Speaking of drinks, the ticket price includes a pre-show drink and a bottle of wine for 2 during the show. We got 2 sangrias and then shared a bottle of red. They considerately brought the cork in case we wanted to take it to-go. The space is intimate and the seats are chairs propped right next to each other so you have to get a little cozy with your neighbor. The performers brought the energy and the crowd kept it going.

Gorgeous place, amazing atmosphere and the show was spectacular. Definitely recommend buying the VIP tickets or at least A side, where you’re in front of even though you’re on the side with B, with a great view, in front would’ve been a lot better.

This place is a tourist trap. The venue itself is beautiful, and the dancers were very good. However, this place is so greedy and feel more like a factory line than an artistic show. The seating is extremely uncomfortable and too crowded. We paid 59€ per ticket ( level A) and were sat at an extremely uncomfortable side corner with very limited visibility. We mostly saw the backs of the dancers and non of the musicians. The accostics were terrible on that side and the sound cam up ditorted. The 30€ tapas plate is a joke, really ridiculous some sausage and cheese and omelette. Really unworthy. You also can only take a drink in the beginning we were told. They run shows in 1:30 slots, one after another and not sure how are the dancers and band supposed to do things enthusiastically time after time. I don't recommend this place

Came to the 7:30 pm show. The entire experience is about 1.5 hours from when you walk into the door and are given a choice of beverage before seating. I had a sangria and a champagne which was included. Husband had red wine. The kids sodas. The interior of the building is gorgeous with carvings, tiles and murals . You have the option of pre-purchasing a tapas plate that is delivered during the show. It consisted of a warm Spanish tortilla wedge, cheeses, meats and olives. The chairs are very close together. It is not necessary to sit in the premium rows. I would choose the area right behind that so you are not so intimately staring at the performers. Great way to start or finish the evening as they have many shows a night.

The show itself depends a lot on the dancers and the musicians. I have to admit that were not so lucky this time . The signers and the musicians were perfect, however I cannot say the same for the dancers. Dancing team consisted of 2 female dancers and one male. By far the best dancer was El Yiyo. Nieves was the name of one of the ladies dancers but she was really awful to be honest. I am definitely not a Flamenco expert but guys believe me...that was not flamenco. We reserved the show together with menu for 2 and the food was too simple for a show like this just 200m away from Puerta del Sol. The place however is very nice and stylish though, including the acoustic. I recommend the show but please make sure to check upfront who will be performing . Everything depends on the dancing team. And don’t order any food there, get a dinner in one of many nearby restaurants.

Very neat experience. There were more than one performance with the band. Live vocals and really enjoyed the atmosphere. A heritage building with ornamental carved wood. The oldest Tablao Flamenco in the world.

Amazing experience. Definitely worth a visit if you are coming down for the first time. The dancers and musicians are spectacular and superb. The effort put into the music and dance is worth the travel and cost.

I really recommend you to visit this show because its really amazing. Its only one hour but all this time you will feel like you are performing because these dancers give you so mich energy when they dance that deep inside you dance with them. We got a welcomed drink. They have areas where they make discounts for kiss and some where they dont. We were sitting in front of stage on the last row.. table 254-253. And i can tell you these tables were perfect. Only disadvantage of this place are chairs.... They are not very comfortable and if you are not average size you can probably not fit. Tables are very small but there you dont need a big pne but chairs you cannot even move them. But honestly during the show I forgot about everything.

I think this is an excellent choice if you are in Madrid with amazing dancers, great venue, attentive service and very good musicians too. I am not giving it a 5 because a year ago I was in Seville in a 'temple' of flamenco and while I greatly appreciated the virtuosity of the artists in this Tablao, I definitely got more deeply involved when I was in the other city, where you were almost overcome and overwhelmed by the emotions and the, well, duende! So it is a personal opinion of course which should not in any way detract from your visit, it's a lovely place and yes of course it isn't cheap but it's a capital city... If I can hazard another criticism I would have liked a slightly longer show, even only 5 more minutes with more of the three dancers working together (and sorry I didn't like the use of the saxophone, I know there is a reason but makes it too 20th century). Otherwise all good you'll love it and the artists are amazing.

Wonderful experience. It can't tell by the photos but tables are distributed in a stairy way. Last tables are in a higher place. They're are far from the stage but one can get a pretty clear view. About the show... FANTASTIC. Really emotional and expressive. In a total different way but who knows Portuguese Fado will find similarities in the soul of it. The show room has the right dimensions. One hour of pure immersion.

Book on their website and go and enjoy a great performance like no other🥹. They offered a vegetarian option for tapas but it was lame. However the atmosphere was everything and the location is mesmerizing

WOW, IT'S AMAZING! The oldest flamenco bar in the world, it's definitely worth going one evening to experience authentic flamenco music and dancing. With your ticket you get a complimentary glass of wine or sangria (or soft drink), so it's a nice atmosphere. The décor is classical Spanish and the dancers are amazing! The tickets range from €39-€49, I went cheap but if you want my advice, pay for the premium ticket and sit up close and personal - it's a much better experience. Overall, you HAVE to check this place out!

We booked the Cardomo but they moved us to this location as they own both. We bought tickets on line which included one drink and tapas. We watched flamenco for an hour. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The female singer, Laura, was known to the audience. Pleasure to hear her sing. We had a good time.

The show was fascinating. We arrived late to the 7:30 show so we asked if we can attend the next show instead and staff was very welcoming. They agreed since there was still empty seats within the allowed number of guests. We loved the show.

Really nice Flamenco, supposedly it’s the oldest in the city. The interior and exterior decoration is very detailed and beautiful, imitating the origins of Famenco and its towns. The spectacle in itself was really nice, what I recommend you do is get the tables closest to the stage, which, for three, six or nine euros extra you can be at the front row. I would be very wary on getting a table from the side, you cannot see everything, and it is very different specially as the dancers hardly ever addressed the side public. You get a glass of wine of your choice with your entrance and order of tapas is optional yet I don’t recommend it as it is more on the pricey side than what you get. Our experience wasn’t the best as we had a side view, and they forgot to bring our tapas order, supposedly as we got there just a few minutes before the show started, therefore, we did not have an advanced reservation (which should not be an excuse for not bringing our order). I spoke to them at the end, and they acknowledged and accepted their error immediately with no complaints, nor issues and reimbursed the money of the tapas order. Show in itself was very good, they had a good group of dancers and musicians.

The musicians and dancers were absolutely fantastic! I listen to a lot of flamenco and truly felt they were excellent. Service was good, as was the tortilla. The crowd at the late show I was at appeared to be about 90% tourists.

The show is only one hour long and quite sometime is wasted on simply sitting and waiting for the dancers to get on stage. The singers sit on the stage and chat among themselves while the dancer is dancing…. The dancers themselves were great but the overall can be better

It was my first Flamenco live show experience in Madrid, and it was awesome and appreciate the Flamenco team great performance. Tickets vary from 49euros and below. I would have given a 5 star, but despite buying the front seat and requesting a front middle view, i got the most corner seat, which was a bummer. However, I made the best out for the good flamenco dancing and singing experience. The dancers expressions and passionate dancing were exquisite!! The lady in the black dress and the flute player were my favorites, the others were equally great as well. I highly recommend trying one show and enjoy a cool flamenco experience.

Must visit place! This was one of the most breathtaking performances I have ever experienced. We were left speechless, and throughout the show, my whole body was covered in goosebumps. UNFORGETTABLE! and the building itself an art! highly recommend

Loved it! Location and architecture of the place are second to none. Music was wonderfully executed, well mixed for the venue. Performance was full of passion and really captivating. We had been in other tablaos in Sevilla and this is well up to par with the best. Food was good and served on time to enjoy with the show.

Amazing authentic interior and very talented performers. Highly recommend this show. You also get a welcome drink. It’s pretty basic but there is some choice: red/white/rose wine, sangria, beer or soft drink. My only criticism would be that filming is allowed during the performance. One or two pics for precious memories is understandable. But unfortunately people sitting in front of us had their phones up the whole time taking pictures and videos and it somewhat impaired the experience. Maybe the venue could consider only allowing use of phone between the performances. Also the venue is not too big and I would recommend booking tickets for back rows overlooking the stage directly. We originally booked class A tickets considered the best but after we found out they wanted to place us right near the stage (you don’t get to book a spot, just the ticket category) we decided to take a free spot all the way at the back. The view couldn’t have been better! Otherwise world probably have to sit straining our necks looking up.

This is the more traditional of the two Cardamomo shows. Each is unique - one more modern and this performance more historical. If you can only see one, this flamenco was more what a tourist might expect. The music, singers, and dancers were outstanding. The tables are tiered so everyone can see the stage. Strongly suggest you pay a bit more and order the tapas platter. The performance is 1 hour which is just right.

This was a great experience all around. We met Leo who explained to us what to expect. He showed us the best seats in the house and helped us with the ticket purchase. Leo was so personable that he even remembered our names when we came back for the evening show. The Flamenco performers, from the guitarists, vocalists to Flamenco dancers were phenomenal. It was so interesting to see the rich cultural background of this experience. The wait staff were also wonderful. They wore black and swiftly glided between aisles that one would not even notice them completing beverage orders. All in all, highly recommended experience. Leo specially made this experience more memorable at a personal level.

Such a cool show and experience! The quality and passion the dancers , singers, and instrumentalist put into their art was on full display. As a musician I loved experience the Flamenco use of the body as an instrument with complicated poly rhythms both in one dancer and across all of them at the same time. Highly recommended!

If you wish to come up close and personal with Flamenco dancers and have a good sangria or dinner then look no further at Villa Rosa. The flamenco show was very impressive, ( Me as Indonesian love Spanish culture). My husband and I enjoyed it a lot. The dancers and singers were very passionate and professional at the same time. Loved it! Got to witness flamenco in a very different way, not just a show but a musical collaboration onstage. It was lovely to see the interaction between the dancers, singers and musicians. A truly unique experience!
