About the Show

The history of the Tablao Flamenco 1911 dates back to 1911, and to this day it is known as the oldest tablao in the world. A flamenco space that began to bring the greatest artists in the flamenco world to step on its stage at the beginning of the 20th century, led by the legendary Antonio Chacón.

Over the decades, the Tablao Flamenco 1911 stage has been graced by internationally renowned flamenco figures such as Lola Flores, Imperio Argentina, Miguel de Molina, Juanito Valderrama and Dominguín. Their presentations have been enjoyed by both the residents of the capital and visitors from the rest of Spain and the world, making their nights eternal dream evenings. Hollywood figures such as Ava Gardner and Hemingway, and even monarchs such as Alfonso XIII, were received several times in this emblematic performance hall. It was forced to close its doors for reasons of force majeure, but it has always resurfaced to return with more force.

Today, after meticulous restoration and conservation, visitors can again admire its shining facades adorned with tiles created between 1915 and 1920 and protected by the Madrid City Council. Beautiful corners of the country's best-known capitals of Andalusia and Madrid, such as Seville. The architecture and atmosphere of this temple of flamenco have an unmistakably Andalusian touch, reminding viewers of the halls of the Alhambra palaces and the famous Albayzin neighborhood.

Under the artistic direction of Antonio Canales, the Tablao Flamenco 1911 opens a new page in its glorious history to receive the best dancers, singers and artists from the Spanish flamenco world.

Reviews

Awesome performance and shows. The atmosphere is great with traditional scenes of arts. Definitely a must see
What a great 1st experience to see Flamenco dancing. The dancing was fabulous. For the price of entry you get 2 drinks. Plus you can purchase tapas.
We had wonderful time here. All performers were great, but I’d like to notice Paula Rodriguez. It was awesome to watch her at the stage👏👏👏
Now I understand the beauty and the passion of flamenco. Fantastic and authentic experience, with wine and tapas. Come early for a good table.
The show was fantastic, the dancers skilled with emotion bursting through every pore (ladies more than the lone male). We enjoyed front row seats. We never received the drinks that came with the ticket price though. I would pay to see the dancers and excellent musicians again… but not the under the current management.
We had an incredible experience! We loved the show! The venue, dancers and musicians were amazing! We couldn’t have made it without the help of Alejandra A. she did an amazing job helping us through with everything for us to attend. We appreciate the help. If you’re around Don’t miss out on this show! Highly recommend it!
