La Casa del Flamenco

We really enjoyed our one hour flamenco show here, which featured 5 total performers (musicians and dancers) performing 3 different flamenco styles. The performers were talented and skilled. We stayed at the adjoining Hotel Alcántara and were able to book our tickets at the box office a few hours before the show for a hotel guest discount (20 euro per person instead of 25 euro). We arrived about 15 minutes before the show and were not early enough to be seated in the first row, but the auditorium is small enough that you’re never far from the stage, no matter where you sit. Pictures and videos were allowed during the encore at the end.

Attended the 8:30 PM session. I hesitated to attend this after our initial show in Granada, but boy was I wrong. This performance was superb and exhilarating. Beautifully choreographed and executed; both lead dancers were excellent. I would skip El Camino in Granada and attend this instead. You will be left wanting more! No photography during session but they allow quick snaps at the end.

What a wonderful performance that was! Captivating from start to finish. The energy of the performers was unmatched, and the intimacy of the venue makes you feel every bit of the passion, rhythm, and emotion of the artists. It was the highlight of my time in Seville. Highly recommended.

I arrived 30 minutes early and took a front-row center seat—close enough to feel every movement. The one-hour performance featured five artists: two dancers, two singers, and a guitarist who led the entire flow. The atmosphere felt intimate, almost like a living-room concert. It began quietly, building a subtle sense of anticipation before unfolding into something deeply powerful. Watching flamenco this close for the first time was striking. The dancers were intensely expressive—the female dancer murmuring as she moved, the male dancer smiling throughout—both combining precision, rhythm, and raw energy. Their footwork and coordination with the singers and guitarist created a seamless, escalating intensity. Compared to stage performances, this felt far more real and immersive. The only thing I missed was audience interaction—I almost wanted to stomp along. In fact, right after stepping बाहर, I couldn’t resist doing it myself, which drew a knowing smile from others nearby.

Tucked inside the narrow lanes of the Santa Cruz neighborhood Seville, La Casa del Flamenco Auditorio Alcántara proves that you do not need a giant theatre or dramatic stage effects to witness something powerful. Apparently all you need is a small courtyard, a few chairs, and performers with emotional intensity levels somewhere between poetry and controlled volcanic eruption. Flamenco itself dates back centuries in Andalusia, blending Romani, Moorish, Jewish, and Spanish musical traditions. UNESCO even declared it an UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2010, which is a very formal way of saying the world agrees that this art form is spectacular. The performance space is intimate, inside a historic Sevillian house. You sit just a few meters away from the dancers, which means every stomp, clap, and dramatic glare lands with full emotional force. The guitarist plays like he is negotiating with destiny. The singer sounds like someone who has personally experienced every heartbreak in human history. At one point the dancer spins, stomps, pauses, and stares into the audience with such intensity that you briefly reconsider your life decisions. Flamenco has that effect. Seville is often called the spiritual home of flamenco, and small venues like this capture the raw essence far better than giant tourist theatres. Overall experience. Intimate, passionate, and surprisingly powerful for such a small space. One hour later you walk out slightly stunned, wondering how so much drama can be produced with nothing more than a guitar, a voice, and extremely aggressive footwork. 💃

Beautiful performance! The dancing was amazing. Was slightly disappointed in the costumes. The website shows these beautiful flower and fringe dresses but that's not what we got. Still stunning to watch.

Amazing Experience in a historical building. Dancers and singers were phenomenal and well worth the price. Act was lively and well put together and performed.The crowd were fully immersed and were joyous

Very good flaminco show, everyone was amazing, by looking at the show pictures online I guess they have different crew and dancers for each day or each time slot. Very moving show wnd amazing energy, you will not leave disappointed. We bought tickets in advance and they will advise you to come twenty minutes early to pick your seat although It’s a small venue so I guess everyone will get a good view.

I have nothing to compare this to…it is my first experience seeing Flamenco…but this was amazing. I’m confident I’ve never been moved like this watching dance. It was absolutely beautiful and the venue is perfectly sized to make this feel like an intimate experience. Book your tickets and go see this wonderful performance!

Brilliant Flamenco. Would totally recommend this venue. The music, singing and dancing were incredible.

Loved the energy and the set up, very intimate setting. The only thing which was lacking was the costume dress, it was a simple black dress for much of the performance not the typical Flamenco dress you see the female dancers wearing nor very colorful. Poor costume. Ok to go once and experience. Lot of variety with solo dances for both male and female. A couples dance , solo guitar.

Fantastic show! So full of talent and emotion. Every performer was very invested in the show, and obviously a professional of many years. The performance space is intimate, and there is no attempting to sell drinks or food, just a pure flamenco experience. Fabulous location with lots of eateries and shops in the area. An easy walk from our hotel near Real Alcazar.

Definitely recommend!! I don't know if this was catered to tourists, etc. as it was the only flamenco show that I've ever seen (other than street buskers). But I can say that I was mesmerized by every minute of it. The singers, the guitarist, the dancers.. everything was amazing!

Brilliant evening of flamenco. Went to the 8.30 pm show. It lasts an hour. The space is great intimate courtyard with a great view of everything. The dancers, singers and guitarist were excellent. Flamenco is amazing to watch especially the interaction between singers and dancers.

Small, intimate show that is worth watching and not to be missed if you’re visiting Sevilla. I would watch it again 💕The singers were amazing and soulful, the Spanish guitarist equally amazing, you just can’t match the soulful sounds of the Spanish guitar and the authentic singers. The show took you to a place where you felt like you were part of the action where you are observing the heartache of the dancers firsthand, which is part of the show and the talent. The dancers were beautiful and talented, with skills that were professional, and heartfelt. No photos until the end of the show which makes it a much more pleasant experience and allows you to absorb the whole show. We really loved the authenticity and soul of all the performers👏👏👏💕🕺💃🏽💕

Absolutely loved this show. As a professional Irish dancer, I really appreciate the intimacy of the performance in such a small room. Definitely a must see event in Seville. Special shout out to the lady flamenco dancer who I thought was fabulous!

Every time we come to Sevilla, we make sure to book a show here. The most authentic flamenco dancing you will find in Spain. Very intimate and no phones or recording allowed, which creates a wonderful atmosphere to watch. Highly recommend for all those visiting the area.

Amazing space to see, hear and feel the amazing Andalusian tradition that is Flamenco. The space is intimate but not overcrowded. The performers are so good. I came here in 2014 and then again 10 years later and it’s still amazing.

This show is a true testament to the passion and soul of Spanish culture. From the moment the dancers take the stage, you are transported to another world, where every movement tells a story and every beat of the music resonates deep within your soul. The performers are masters of their craft, exuding raw emotion and intensity with every step, clap, and twirl.

I saw flamenco here a few days ago, and I'm only writing this review after coming to Granada today and being disappointed after seeing sub-par, touristy flamenco twice. Of course, it's more important to see a good artist than the venue, but at least this place takes flamenco seriously. If you happen to stumble upon this place in Seville and see my review, be sure to check it out for the real flamenco experience. This is not a place that just puts on a show for tourists; you will find artists who are dedicated to the transmission of flamenco as an art. You can feel the music, the voices, and the dances as they are meant to be felt, not as a show prepared for tourists, but as the regrets and frustrations of real gypsies. It was an experience I am so grateful for and I'm glad I can remember Spain through flamenco. I will definitely come back again.

Fantastic show! There was splendor and drama. I'm not at all familiar with the Spanish language but there was drama between the dancers and guitar player. The guitar player even broke a string mid set and continued to play through. Bravo and fantastic show!

Watching Flamenco at a small stage or bar I felt incredibly authentic. It was like experiencing the raw essence of Flamenco, where every emotion and sentiment they aimed to convey came through vividly. Being able to watch up close added to the intimacy of the experience, making it truly memorable. Watching Flamenco in Seville is a must-do experience.

Good show, quite small place so probsbly is good to buy ticket in advance. Good thing is you are never far from stage. People actually seat around it from three sides.

Not what we were expecting. It felt kind of like we were attending their rehearsal, the performers were constantly making comments to each other and laughing. The guitarist was good but the tap dancing was so loud you couldn’t really hear the music. It all felt very random as if they were ad-libbing. We were expecting to see more talent and the dancing was not at all technical and really not that impressive. The female singer was great but the dancing was very average. There was only a few minutes of the woman and man dancing together and when the man danced alone it was too awkward to watch

Definitely confirm whether you’re booking the Festivo performance or the Hondo performance as the vibes are obviously quite different; but the show is spectacular regardless!

The Flamenco show offered by La casa del Flamenco at the Alcántara auditorium in Calle Ximénez de Enciso 28 is truly a unique and unmissable experience, both for tourists and people living in the city. Shows are organized daily, with two to three performances a day concentrated in the afternoon and in the evening. They can be booked on location or through the website, which appears modern and easy to use. With three different languages, it shows that the audience they aim for is Spanish nationals but also tourists who are spending time in the city. It is catchy with videos and photos from the venue and the performances, as well as a clear and modern style. Tickets offered follow a pricing strategy based on age, with tickets for adults costing 22€, for students 17€ and for children 11€. Children younger than six years old enter for free with an adult. The booking process is quick and smooth. The stage is already immersing the visitor into the experience, with a covered internal courtyard with columns. Decorated with lamps and plants, the stage is surrounded on three sides by around thirty seats, alternating a first row of low seats and a rear row of higher seats, giving everyone a perfect view of the performance. The traditional chairs for the performance are located on the stage, awaiting the arrival of the performers. The experience of the performance was vibrant, energetic and impressive. The guitarist and the singers enter first, setting the atmosphere. In turns, the dancers enter the scene, performing alone and together, while also changing outfits multiple times. One aspect remains constant: The intense energy released by the shoes of the dancers. It is a unique and strong beat followed by energetic moves across the small stage. Meanwhile, the singers give rhythm with strong claps and a powerful voice. This allows the performers to have something happening throughout the whole performance, as dancers alternate the scene. With a duration of an hour, a visitor can really grasp all the different shades of a flamenco dance. What I liked most was that the performers were genuine and real, not professional actors. You could sense that they are part of one big flamenco family and that they do this for passion. The little talking among themselves, the jokes and the laughs, but also simple acts such as tuning the guitar during the performance made the experience feel local and traditional, and not a product for customers. The adjective that best describes the performance overall is “intimate”, not only between the performers themselves and with the public, but also within the environment of the internal courtyard itself. An interesting aspect of the performance, which I praise, is that photography and taking videos is not allowed throughout the performance. This allows the experience to be unique and impossible to reproduce elsewhere or see it remotely. However, I also appreciate their policy of allowing photos and videos for the final and concluding act of the show, giving visitors and tourists alike a small memory to save and bring home. Even the moment in which spectators were alerted about the possibility to take videos felt human, as the male dancer was trying to make the female dancer say it, but she wanted to have a laugh and insisted on him to make the announcement. The result was a very embarrassed and shy “Photo, Oh-key!”, which made the moment magical. Overall, my experience was outstanding, and I want to thank the dancers, vocalists and the guitarist who gave me and my friends an enjoyable time.

Great night out. Our first night in seville and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. All of the performers were very talented. Great show.

I highly recommend a visit to this establishment. The dancers we watched were incredible, ably supported by 2 wonderful singers and a solo guitarist. The establishment is small, making the performance that bit more special. Personally I am not that bothered with Flamenco, however, this show is just about the right duration for me at 1 hour. I do wish there was a bit more dancing with the castanets, as there was only one such dance, which in my opinion was superb!

Loved the experience to see something new and different. Great dancers but thought the guitarist might have stolen the show. Nice close intimate setting.

It was a good flamenco performance consisting of 5 artists. 1 guitar, 2 dancers (a lady and a man), 2 singers (a man and a lady). Took 1 hour. You sit very near to the show on 3 sides of the stage, which is great and intimate. We paid 22€ per person. Have been to a couple of flamenco shows and ticket price here was a bit more expensive. A more modern light technique with better colors and ability of focus could have been improved to make the stage more dramatic and in harmony with various songs. Sound-wise, it’s said that flamenco shows don’t need mics and sound system, which I understand but quite often you couldn’t hear the guitar in this show.

Beautiful presentation of flamenco dancing and singing! The movement by the principal dancing shows whst an art form flamenco is. The singing was also intense and you could feel the emotion of the words translated by the movement of the arms and the steps of the feet performed by the dancers. The change of costume are also beautiful and impressive. This is a must see event for any person who loves dance and music!

The show lasts about an hour. There are 3 or four shows per day, the latest being at 10 pm. The auditorium is a small courtyard of a historic 16th century home that accommodates no more than 50 people arranged in two rows of chairs on each side of the stage and three rows directly in front of the performers. The seating is first-come first-serve , in other words there is no assigned seating. There is also no food or drinks available nor allowed on the premises. The focus is solely the artists. There are two dancers, two singers and a guitar player. Each dancer will have at least two solo performances and they will dance together at least twice during the show. No photographs or filming is permitted during the performance but at the end of the show the artists will give the audience an opportunity to take a few pictures. The show is very intimate and progresses at a good pace. The dancers and musicians are professionals so both music and movement are executed with skill and artistry. The costs is 25 euro per person. Very enjoyable and recommended

A unique 1 hour experience! I can definitely recommend this place to those who want to watch a flamenco show. The atmosphere was very nice. It was a great feeling to be sitting so close to the musicians and dancers. Photo or video shooting is allowed at the end of the show. :)

We really liked the performance. The whole show was great, with great dancing, great singing, great guitar playing and great choreography. I highly recommend a visit, you won't regret it.

Excellent show. I enjoyed the small intimate venue which offered great views of the stage no matter where you sit. I especially liked that no pictures were allowed (until the end). This allowed me to be able to watch the show without having phones/cameras obstructing the view. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Flamenco show! The dancers and musicians were so passionate and talented - the show was incredibly moving. Never seen anything like it in my life! I also loved that the show was situated in a historic building, just adds to the overall traditional ambiance. I’ve seen shows in Barcelona and other places, but I have to say this is one of the best (if not the best). Highly recommend!

the dancers are excellent. disappointing. We were expecting a big show rich in dancers. A small show, 2 dancers, a man and a woman who played as a couple once and separately, each in their own section. A long and boring guitar part. Looks like a family show, they only let us take pictures at the end when the singers also got up, so that the photos that will be distributed will be as if there was a lot of show?.. The Heidi thing was good that they were good in themselves the singers all so, they was good. but you can find better 🤷🏻‍♂️

Amazing traditional Flamenco experience, the room is small so you will be just in front of artists, and the only thing you will do is watch the performance, no food, no drinks, just an excellent live show. If you are looking for real traditional Flamenco, this is a very very good place. If you arrive early and book in advance, you will be able to choose where to sit.

Surely a must see and feel in Sevilla. The dance, the singing and the interactions of the performers are just amazingly powerful and beautiful. The stage with high ceiling is also with good sound quality. Book or buy the ticket better at least one day before.

Excellent flamenco show in an intimate setting - the performers were amazing and have showcased a variation of styles. It felt like the staff were all really passionate about their work. Make sure you arrive early if possible - we were there 15 minutes before and only got the third row (which isn’t too bad as the chairs were higher).

First time to watching a proper flamenco performance. I loved it! Small theatre which made it feel very intimate. We started lining up about 20 minutes before the show and managed to get front row seats which was amazing. The guitarist was incredible and the way the dancers moved their feet was unbelievable! All of the performers had so much emotion. Great show!
