About the Show

What is now El Patio Sevillano began in 1952 when the owners founded "Cortijo el Guajiro". The owners brought to the stage many talented performers leading to further success. In its early days El Cortijo featured the young talents of Trini España, Matilde Coral, El Farruco, Manuela Vargas, and Rafael Negro. El Cortijo was often visited by famous toreros as well as artists, politicians and film stars.

In 1956 the location was moved to the heart of the city center in the Plaza del Duque where it continued to attract the highest level talents in the flamenco world, featuring performers such as Chano Lobato, Cristina Hoyos and Milagros Menjibar. For seventeen years the tablao flourished in the Plaza del Duque and in 1973 moved to its current location along the river to a new venue constructed specifically for flamenco performances. Today the location is surrounded by the most typical monuments and sights of Sevilla, including the Plaza de Toros and the Triana bridge.

The tablao continues to host many famous flamenco artists and is known for performances which feature a variety of flamenco styles as well as classical Spanish dance and music. For this, El Patio Sevillano maintains a long list of regular performers as well as hosting touring artists who travel through Spain on regular circuits.

Reviews

We were the only audience when we attended, but the dancers still put on an amazing performance. Their professionalism, energy, and dedication to this traditional art form were truly impressive and made the experience very special. Almost moved me to tears 😭
Flamenco is part of the soul of Seville. If you miss it, you won't feel the essence of the Andalusian people.
A truly powerful and captivating Flamenco performance! Our visit to the show was included in our Gate 1 Travel tour, and it was really enjoyable experience. The dancers energy, the live music, and the raw emotion on stage were absolutely fascinating. The inclusion of a scene from Bizet’s Carmen added an unexpected and delightful touch that elevated the entire experience. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
Wow flamenco live and up close in Sevilla! From my front row seat Tablao Flamenco El Patio Sevillano, I didn’t just see flamenco-I felt it! The theatre is on the older side but is still full of charm. It's not a high end production but I'm giving this review 5 stars based on the dancers performance-giving their all to make for an enjoyable evening! Beautiful flamenco costumes and artwork are on display in the lobby along with a cute little shop set up. There is also a bar as well. Our tickets booked in advance, included two drinks and allowed us to choose our own seat. I'm so happy I chose the front row. For me it’s the only way to experience the full intensity! The power of the dancers’ footwork, the movement of their skirts and costumes, and the passion in each band member playing were right there in front of me- don't think I would have had the same experience if I didn't sit close. I noticed some of the audience behind me seeming a bit rude on their phones and talking during the performance. Speaking as a former dancer that is so disrespectful. I really give the cast alot of credit for putting on their best performance possible despite their inattentive audience.
Please, my American tourists, do yourself a favor and visit this place to experience a powerful, passionate, and authentic Spanish flamenco show! This has been the best part of my trip so far in the south of Spain. Thank you to all the artists and personnel for an incredible performance. I am forever grateful! 🙏🏻
Beautiful and brilliant Flamenco performance. True to the past with immensely skilled performers. The performance we attended was definitely a highlight of or stay in Spain!
