A lovely lady greeted us as we arrived and took us to our table. The waiter then took our drinks order which was a lovely Tinto. He helped us order and guided us to some of the most delicious food. Chicken Skewers were a highlight but to be fair there was nothing that wasn't amazing. Would recommend.

Had a great time here with friends. The Rioja wine was excellent and they have a huge choice of appetizers. Everything was delicious and the prices are reasonable for Malaga.

Awesome spot 28 euro for flamenco show and a drink. Great value and amazing performance. Didn't have to book in advance but would go early or just book to make sure get a spot.

The staff is extremely friendy and treated me so special on my birthday! An amazing experience with great service! The atmosphere is fantastic and the food was absolutely divine. I would highly recommend to come here for a fantastic dining experience.

Part 1: Do not be fooled by “chicharrones” on the menu. These are not the fried pork skins you know. These, especiales tipo cádiz, are thinly sliced pork loin accompanied by pepper and lemon, which you wrap around your picos camperos. Unique. Thank Adrian for this experience if you are lucky enough to meet him. Great fun! Part 2: el Gallo Ronco also offers flamenco in an intimate space next door. Excellent guitar, singing and crackling dance of emotions. Strong and beautiful performance. ¡Muchas gracias!

We ate here before seeing a flamenco show. We had a great seat outside. The servers are super attentive. The drinks were good. The food was OK. The fried eggplant is sliced like chips instead of like fries and you end up tasting more breading than eggplant (which isn’t a good thing)

We saw a flamenco show there, quite a great experience. First row and good professionals. It's true that the price is quite high but at the end you pay for the atmosphere and the tourist location. We had some wine there as you can see in the picture and we left it as you see in the picture. Not a good quality wine so i recommend getting a beer.

I guess they are supposed to be on the darkside for effect, but a bit more lighting would have been nice. It's traditional flamenco with a caller ,two dancers, and a guitar player. We did not eat, so we could not rate that.

Fantastic bar in great location with delicious options for tapas and a very handy QR code option to order (this just builds up a tab, the bill is still asked and paid for the normal way) making it very easy to order. The waiters, Adrian and Ines were polite, happy and helpful!

A very busy place located at the leafy plaza, very were many spanish locals and tourists when I was there. The food was good and hearty. A pleasant music as well.

What a WONDERFUL place- the atmosphere, the food- and the PEOPLE! Hamza and Eva helped us in every way- feeling welcome, getting us settled with royal treatment at breakfast, drinks and that AMAZING flamenco show. We ALL got chills- so moving and beautiful. Our favorite spot in Malaga! Thank you for a tremendous experience! We’ll be back!

Michelle was the best server! She was so helpful in telling us the signature dishes. We enjoyed EVERYTHING! The grilled octopus was amazing and not chewy at all! I can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

We got this place recommended, and it turns out there are 2 restaurants! while the atmosphere is quite nice and cozy, El Gallo Ronco loses some points from me when it comes to food; the Tortilla De Patatas was unbelievably bad and our Spanish friends apologized profusely saying that it’s usually a very good dish. As we were ordering tapas to share, it was quite a surprise to see that one of the dishes ordered was a singular artichoke heart with no dressing beyond oil, we assumed there would be more to it, but that could have been our fault for not reading the menu better, but perhaps a warning would have been nice since we made it clear we’d be sharing all the food. The music is certainly a plus and the walls are adorned with Spanish celebrities. We enjoyed a delicious beer and continued our night out.

Location: in the city centre, a little square behind Calle Larios Staff: friendly and fast. Food: sorry to say not the best. The berenjenas con miel were undercooked. The miel was only one little sachet. The patatas bravas (french fries with a little sauce) were cold. And the sauce wasn't really the sauce that makes Patatas Bravas.... Patatas Bravas! The croquettes were of good taste but cold and very, very small for €2 a piece. (4 for €8,-) Aguacate was ok but the shrimp was frozen, not fresh.

Loved it lived it loved it. There are several restaurants around here to choose from but the fun and attentiveness of the team here coupled with the great food makes it my number 1. The team serve well the octopus and the prawns are great. The service from Maribelle is super. The cava is ok and could.do.with being chilled.more but overall this is a super place 5 out of 5!

Cute little square, amazing atmosphere and great food for a reasonable price. Fast and friendly service. I frequent this place every time I visit Málaga (once a year at least) and El Gallo Ronco is a spot you shouldn’t miss out on. I ate here and the food was fine. I am writing to review the flamenco show provided by the same restaurant. The show was recommended by a tour guide. I walked there and bought a ticket from a lovely woman, Pilar. She was pleasant, and kind, she asked me to get there early to ensure I would get a good seat; raving that the participants were among the best in the city/region. I had dinner beforehand and showed up at 6:47 for a 7pm show. I was very excited! I arrived, introduced myself and handed the host/waitress my ticket for the show. The host sat me in the back, under a hood— there was no one else back there. There were several empty seats in front of me (stayed empty the whole time). I sat at high top tables by myself the entire night, and crowds walked in front of me all night interrupting my view of the show. It was quite disheartening and felt like I had done something wrong and was placed in the naughty corner. I would not recommend going to the flamenco show here. It seems some of the other bigger companies are not locally owned, but perhaps I would have had a better experience if I went there.

Passionate flamenco show with great dancers and singers, it felt short but a great experience. Dinner after the show in the same Gallo Ronco is great with amazing atmosphere in the terrace. Service is fast and the dishes are served quickly. The meal was very good: pork cheek delicious and cod confit was juicy and tasty. Boletus croquetas is a must. A place to come back.

Good food, fast and friendly service. Pork cheek was amazing. Loved the fried anchoives (missing photo), could not have enough of the pork cheek and pimientos de padron... However, some pieces of the fried chicken strips were not cooked hence the missing star... Overall an OK experience.

My friend gave me a recommendation for El Gallo Ronco, and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the service for just as good. My waiter maks was very friendly and gave me perfect recommendations on the food and drinks. I look forward to coming back here.

Whilst in Malaga to learn Spanish our teacher told us about this place. We saw the Flamenco show. Absolutely amazing. Tears in our eyes and goosebumps from start to finish. When the singer started the tears came, it was so moving. The guitar player fantastic, the dancing so emotional and powerful. An absolute must if you are in Malaga. Had lunch in the restaurant the day before, loads of nice tapas and other main meals. Highly recommend this place.

We were almost suffocating with the heat. When a gorgeous Malagueña called Pilar invited us to take a seat to freshen up. We are so glad she did, this is a beautiful restaurant. La plaza de las Flores I a hidden but centred place with so much charm. We went a couple of times and it was always a great service en top food. The only reason I give them two stars for ambiance is because of the bathrooms. They are really not up to the standards of the restaurant.
