About the Show

What is now El Patio Sevillano began in 1952 when the owners founded "Cortijo el Guajiro". The owners brought to the stage many talented performers leading to further success. In its early days El Cortijo featured the young talents of Trini España, Matilde Coral, El Farruco, Manuela Vargas, and Rafael Negro. El Cortijo was often visited by famous toreros as well as artists, politicians and film stars.

In 1956 the location was moved to the heart of the city center in the Plaza del Duque where it continued to attract the highest level talents in the flamenco world, featuring performers such as Chano Lobato, Cristina Hoyos and Milagros Menjibar. For seventeen years the tablao flourished in the Plaza del Duque and in 1973 moved to its current location along the river to a new venue constructed specifically for flamenco performances. Today the location is surrounded by the most typical monuments and sights of Sevilla, including the Plaza de Toros and the Triana bridge.

The tablao continues to host many famous flamenco artists and is known for performances which feature a variety of flamenco styles as well as classical Spanish dance and music. For this, El Patio Sevillano maintains a long list of regular performers as well as hosting touring artists who travel through Spain on regular circuits.

Reviews

We went to the second playing during the off-season and we were the only 2 people to show-up due to a group that cancelled at the last minute. I don't know anything about flamenco but I know what it's like to perform on a stage and I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed by the professionalism of the dancers and musicians who gave their everything for a very small public. Watching the artists enjoy themselves and give us all their energy was mesmerizing. I recommend the experience. We only had drinks so we can't give an opinion on the food served.
Show was great, but the food was mediocre and wine was not great. From a presentation perspective putting flaked tuna salad in a metal tin literally looked like what you would get at a grocery store. Wine was just very acidic.
Talent show, but the food is toxic. I felt sick immediately, next I go just buy 🍷 wine. The service of waiting ✋️ 1 hour to order. Plus, can you British people shut up 🤬 yelling at the dancers consider rude. The falkland Islands belong to Spain.
We went for the second showing on a Monday night in the off-season of September. The place was entirely empty except for us and another small group of tourists. Despite the very very small crowd, the dancers and musicians put on a fantastic show. I was worried that they wouldn't bring the energy and emotion into their performance but I was very pleasantly surprised. They did great :) Other than the show, everything else was mediocre at best. The wine was pretty terrible, we couldn't bring ourselves to even touch the tapas, and there wasn't any toilet paper in the women's bathroom. It's quite overpriced as well. Other local shows are around 40 euros whereas we paid 65 for show+tapas. I'm giving 3 stars solely for the performance of the artists as they poured their craft on stage for the 6 of us that were there. If you decide to go, pick the earlier show, skip the food entirely, and have dinner elsewhere afterwards. Have a great time and make the best of it!
Tourist trap, bad food, bad wine, no atmosphere, total downer, there’s plenty better things to do in Seville don’t waste your time here. Very disappointing as we were looking forward to a good bit of local culture
Very entertaining show. The was a bit of mix music/dance, not just flamenco. Performers did greate job delivering emotions :)
